The editors of Bass Player Magazine, in a poll of bass players and expert writers on the instrument, have voted "Good Times" by Chic the greatest bassline of all time.

Co-written and co-produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, the track features Edwards' iconic bass performance - a line so influential it would later become the blueprint for The Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight," Blondie's "Rapture," and Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust," the latter of which also cracked the Top 10 list.
