Today starts the beginning of a few crazy weeks, so I enjoyed a few moments of peace for Balance.
I go out for daily walks since I had surgery for aggressive prostate cancer. It's good exercise and I don't do any lifting, which could have busted my stitches in the early post-op days. Though I no longer have to worry about stitches, I still feel that walking is a very good exercise. You support your full body weight - and if your pace is fast enough you can really get your heart pumping.
My walks always have musical accompaniment. I sing songs to myself based on situations I encounter or free-floating thoughts. When I left, I was singing Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" followed by Sam Sparro's "Black and Gold." It was completely logical because they both had tweeted me about working on a new project together.
When my feet reached disco speed, I started singing Bumblebee Unlimited's "Love Bug" because Q-Tip had sent me a version of it that he had tricked out. Awesome! By the time I got back those three song were still looping in my head and I still had Balance.
